Once you have completed all of the chapters and assignments for the current level, there is a level assessment required to advance and unlock the chapters and assignments in the next level. To unlock the next level, you must score at least 90% on the level assessment, which is made up of 10-20 multiple choice questions. Therefore, a score of 9/10 or 18/20 is required to “Level-Up.” If you do not pass, then you can choose to retake the assessment again. Or you can move you back to the current level content, where you can re-examine the chapter information in order to re-take the assessment later. The assessments are there to help you understand and master the current content before you press into the next level of important information. These assessments are NOT calculated into your grade, so there is no reason to cheat on them.
We can’t stress this enough: “You do yourself a disservice when you cheat on these assessments!” We want you to learn these skills and truly store away the principles for long-term use, and these assessments will help with your long-term memory storage. Yes, you can’t access future class assignments until you pass each level’s assessment, but these questions are not created to trick you. They are created for you to learn the material. So please, use the assessments for the best intentions. Even in this introductory level, we have included a level assessment, so that you can get a feel for the type of questions and style of the assessments, and to help you remember important platform specifics moving forward. Hold yourself to an honor code, don’t use your fellow students to pass the level assessments. If you need help passing one, make an appointment with your instructor during office hours. Your instructor has the correct answers, so work with your instructor to understand the correct answers to move on to the next level. This is also a great chance to get to know your instructor better, so take advantage of a visitation during office hours.
Next, we will discuss the course practicum, which is your semester-long course project where you will run a live inbound marketing campaign on your newly created website for an extended period of time during the semester.
