Kathryn Mouchette was a junior at Samford University when she created her site, Keeping Up With Kat. Through her journey with the Digital Engine, she shared ways to elevate your everyday style by sharing things that she loved. Kathryn finished in the top three in her class overall with an outstanding analytical performance. She scored an A+ on all three categorical evaluators: Brand Awareness, Brand Acquisition, and Brand Retention. There wasn’t an area of the practicum in which she didn’t excel. For some insight into her brand, read her vision below for her practicum that she deployed throughout her site.

“My name is Kathryn Mouchette and I am the face behind Keeping Up With Kat! I was born and raised in Gallatin, Tennessee and I am currently a junior attending Samford University located in Birmingham, Alabama. I have had the incredible opportunity over the past three years to gain a degree in Marketing and Management with a concentration in Professional Sales. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Samford and it’s so bittersweet I only have a year left.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have had a passion for fashion and expressing myself through my style. It all started when I would pick out and plan my mom and sister’s outfits head to toe for any trip they were going on or for a special event. Like many others, I struggled with many insecurities as a young woman and struggled to feel as if I belonged. Developing my own personal style, becoming rooted in my faith, and sharing things that I have learned along the way with others, allowed me to find my sense of belonging in a world full of chaos. I hope through engaging with my page that you find yourself encouraged through my content. A verse I have chosen to guide Keeping Up With Kat is Proverbs 31:25. It says, “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” I hope that you clothe and root yourself in scripture to fulfill your own sense of belonging. This verse has rooted me through many seasons of my life, and I hope that it speaks to you no matter what season you find yourself in.

Through my blog and social platforms, I plan to share content that is related to fashion, lifestyle, and share products that I use and love. I plan to source home decor, clothes that I am eyeing to purchase, how to incorporate healthy habits in your everyday lifestyle, and everything in between. I am far from perfect, but I believe that it is important to strive to become the best version of yourself. I encourage you as you follow along to enjoy a splurge every now and then, but most importantly find ways to elevate your everyday style.”
