Justice Martin, a Junior at Belmont University, built the most aesthetically pleasing website for her lifestyle brand, Just Justice, in her spring 2022 course The Digital Engine. She has a passion for event planning, graphic design, advertising and anything that allows her to be creative. For her semester project, Justice chose to do a lifestyle blog and brand around nutrition, exercise, and mental health. In her research she focused on and created the following tabs in her blog:

One of her most successful posts is a recipe you cannot miss… Grammy’s Famous Potato Soup. Also, don’t miss her Homemade Churros recipe, either.

In The Digital Engine course, students are encouraged to build a brand statement or mission statement. Justice went above and beyond with hers:

“Just Justice is a lifestyle brand blog that will provide real, honest, and genuine weekly content on working out more productively, eating foods that fuel your body, and being kinder to yourself. My blog can and will make you the best version of yourself if you are up for the challenge. Come along on this journey with me!”

In the course, students need to have a minimum of three social channels on their site. Justice went above the request choosing four:

Facebook  |  LinkedIn  |  Instagram  |  TikTok

Justice found a lot of joy in the ease of learning new skills and getting to be very creative throughout the process:

“I thoroughly enjoyed The Digital Engine courseware. In my experience, I thought it was well thought out. As a student, it can sometimes be difficult to understand a new platform, but The Digital Engine was very easy to understand and navigate. I appreciated that there were current step-by-step screenshots of what we should be experiencing. I thought those were very helpful. I think a lot of students would enjoy The Digital Engine courseware and practicum as it really is much easier to understand than other programs our universities make us use. It was also very nice that our instructor would help us if we had any questions about the digital engine. I would highly recommend anyone use the digital engine. Also, if there is something that could be changed or become better, The Digital Engine would be sure to help fix the issue and make it better to understand for students.”

As Justice says on her LinkedIn profile, she has a “no excuse work ethic, and I am excited to gain more business experience”. It true… Justice put 110% into her course project, well-earning The Digital Engine Certification. If you are a college professor, inquire with us at The Digital Engine to find out how your students can become certified in our digital marketing course as well. You can explore our demo course to get a feel for some of the content and courseware navigation. Or if you just have some general questions, feel free to contact us. We would love to assist in your search for a dynamic and creative class.
