Austin Sorensen completed The Digital Engine course in the Spring of 2022. In the course, he created the website The Twelve II, a lifestyle blog about spreading the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with other college students and young adults. On his website, he included:

  • “The Scrolls” tab which includes all of Austin’s blog publications on faith
  • “Join the Club” tab which allows followers to receive email publications
  • “Prayer Request Form” tab for users of his site to submit prayers requests

Austin has a big heart for spreading the Word of God in a busy world where it is easy to forget to pause, read the Bible, reflect, learn and pray. Within weeks, Austin was providing great insight, knowledge, connection, and support in the life of followers of Christ from all over.

Austin had a lot to say about the ease of understanding and practicality of the course:

“The Digital Engine was great course material for learning how to build a brand, launch a website, and manage social media channels through effective communication. I found the chapters to explain the course content in an efficient manner that was easy to understand. The chapters contain material that was extremely relevant and helpful in building up my brand. Followed by each chapter are assignments that encourage students to apply the learned material, and I appreciated the practical aspect so I could work on my brand side-by-side with the relative course content.”

When asked why Austin took this course, he explains “I wanted to expand my knowledge on growing a brand through social media and via the internet, and this course has been an exceptional tool in enhancing my knowledge. I have gained so many practical skills through the course’s lessons and assignments, and I know they have set me up for a lot of success. I now know how to plan posts, what kinds of content people like, how to enhance my brand’s relevance on Google searches, how to send emails and maximize their engagements, and so much more.”
